WHAT TO DO IF...
-
You find an injured wildlife animal
-
You need to surrender your pet
-
You witness or suspect animal abuse
-
You need help feeding your pets
Call the shelter at (615) 792-3647 to report the found animal, with a physical description of the animal, location found, and your contact information. Do not bring the animal to the shelter before calling first. CCAC is a no-kill shelter, which means we are not open intake and may not have immediately available space to take in the animal. The animal will need to be scanned for a microchip at the shelter or any local veterinarian office. Please be prepared to keep the animal for a few days until we have space; we will support you with food and supplies, and will post on our social media channels to help find the owner.

After hours: Call the shelter to leave a voicemail: (615) 792-3647. Please leave details about the animal's physical description, where you found it, and a call-back number. Please keep the animal safe and secured until a shelter employee can call you back.
